we needed to split up! Lan Zhan had to go find a suspicious person and I needed to take Jin Ling back to an inn and look at a curse. I didn't want Lan Zhan to overthink it, so I told him I'd be back. after that I found out that he already knew who I really was and still hadn't locked me up.
there wasn't much of a point in running off when I knew he would only come and find me again and again, so I stopped bothering.
