It's shocking, it's unthinkable! The menacing and terrible Yiling Patriarch who strikes fear into all those that see him has been utterly defeated! The victor of the battle is none other than the powerful Hanguang-Jun, the most handsome cultivator to ever walk the face of this earth or any other. Though their fierce battle raged on, in the end, the Yiling Patriarch was overcome by Hanguang-Jun's indomitable strength and mighty sword. It's only natural that the Yiling Patriarch would lose miserably in the face of such awesome strength. The benevolent, god-like Hanguang-Jun definitely didn't seize him, tie him up so that he couldn't resist, and drag him back home with him. What a scary man!

Re: [day 136]
Isn't that expected for Sect Leader Jiang?
Re: [day 136]
Not to his merit.
Re: [day 136]
[there's no heat in it though; Jiang Cheng has always been like this, he's used to it]
Re: [day 136]
...
What does Wei Ying need from me?
Re: [day 136]
Being with me is enough. It helps.
Re: [day 136]
[accepts that but also wraps up tight around him, like a very elegant thundershirt]
Re: [day 136]
I need to think about it more, too.
[his thoughts and emotions are a jumble; it's nothing terrible, but Jiang Cheng's presence obviously came as a surprise. he was anticipating navigating around the revived dead, after seeing Wen Qing again. he was not expecting to have to face the living]
Re: [day 136]
There is time.
Re: [day 136]
He wasn't rude to you, was he?
Re: [day 136]
[it bothers him a lot less than seeing Wei Wuxian disrespected! this is just how it is!]
Re: [day 136]
Really! I'm used to it from him, but he should know better than to disrespect you.
Re: [day 136]
[a rebuttal and an answer, at the same time]
Re: [day 136]
Re: [day 136]
Could I ask the same?
Re: [day 136]
[honest, but not a refusal]
Re: [day 136]
[strokes Wei Wuxian's hair; honest, also]
He dislikes me.
Re: [day 136]
We have that in common. He dislikes me too. But what have you ever done to him that he's fine with being so rude?
Re: [day 136]
[LYING IS FORBIDDEN]
Re: [day 136]
[he can see how it's a clash of personalities at the very least]
Re: [day 136]
He did not stand by Wei Ying.
Re: [day 136]
When? He was doing what he thought was best for the sect.
Re: [day 136]
[there's finality behind that opinion, Wei Wuxian can feel, and it stems more purely from being a Lan than anything else. you keep family close, Lan Wangji has been taught by example. you punish what needs punishment and you nurture what needs nurturing, as is fair. but he in his life has very often not done what was best for the sect. he faced the consequences for his actions, but his family did not even abandon him for it.]
Re: [day 136]
[it isn't an argument. there were many things that either of them could have done to prevent the rift between them from growing and they didn't do any of them. he does feel the need to be fair about it, in his own case]
Re: [day 136]
[he is not arguing either]
Re: [day 136]
[it's said with fondness; he loves that Lan Wangji will be on his side no matter what]
We can't change how it worked out in the past, so don't dwell on it.
