[hesitates as the cloth brushes over the brand mark on his chest, his eyes flicking down to it briefly. the look on his face can only be described as solemn; but the real mess is lower down, so he dips the cloth under the water to clean his stomach next. when he brings himself to meet Lan Wangji's eyes again his expression is soft]

since he isn't jostled around he does end up dozing again, humming in approval every time Lan Wangji brushes the cloth over a spot of skin that's gone cold from being out of the water, or runs a hand through his hair]

[eventually he's clean and warm and held and hopefully feeling spoiled, and he's being lifted up again, bundled into warm towels and then warm robes]
